Fortitude
Building fortitude step by step and word by word: crafting a meaningful professional bio, finding the devil in the data, embracing modern life, and the most fun full-circle fashion ever.
••• A Brief Unfolding
Keep finding fortitude.
I see you exhausted, dysregulated, dehydrated.
I see you still dreaming, curious, hopeful.
I see you wondering why, why, why.
I see you longing to use your exquisite gifts.
I see you breaking down and feeling the weight.
I see you taking care and holding on to tenderness.
Keep finding tenderness, keep finding fortitude.
••• Fortification
Building fortitude brick by brick, step by step, word by word: crafting a personal and professional bio you can’t wait to share, appreciating what it takes to find the devil in the data, the most fun full-circle fashion ever, and fully embracing modern life.
Fortify Yourself
Finding work at this moment takes courage, heart, and a little faith. I’m intimately aware of how painful it is to architect a resume, write a cover letter, and write about yourself in a way that comes across as humble yet effortlessly self-promotional. It can feel like too much to take on—but there’s one great place to start: crafting a bio you feel really good about.
In addition to the monthly tend workshops, I’m now offering 1:1 sessions focused on writing bios! You can book a single 60-minute private session with me, and I’ll help you write a unique, creative, and meaningful bio.
Fraud Is Not Fortitudinous
Data Colada publishes articles written by academics discussing and investigating other scholars’ work. The particular post that caught my eye (which, heads up: is dense for people like moi who are not practiced academics, but readable!) dissects a Harvard professor’s study on honesty, revealing fraudulent data in her report.
The post goes from reconstructing the original data set to pointing out how seemingly clandestine alterations caused the relationship between words and ratings in the data to get all *cattywampus* (their words, my appreciation). What stuck with me most is the level of spreadsheet and data forensics that went into exposing the fraud. If I could redo my college major, I think this’d be the one.
p.s. I learned about Data Colada from The 1440 (a pretty great newsy newsletter).
Feelings, Fortified
My coaching colleague and friend wrote and self-published (AIRHORRRN) her first book. I just got my copy of Embracing Your Life: A Workbook for Modern Life—a guided journal designed to cultivate clarity, purpose, and intention. I am so fucking excited to dig in.
Fortitude, Full Circle
When I should perish, dress me in a mushroom suit. For now, the dream is all coveralls from Nooworks, all the time.

Women-owned and operated, Nooworks is an independent clothing brand mindfully making coveralls, pants, jumpsuits, shirts, swimwear, jackets, and much more. Each year, they collaborate with a variety of new independent artists to create an exciting bounty of limited edition, “serotonin boosting” prints.
An investment because they are so lovingly handmade, these are genuinely the most fun clothes I’ve ever worn. But! there’s an official full-circle resale shop to buy and sell pre-loved items. (A treasure trove of GEMS.)
oooh, this workbook is cool! thanks for sharing.
